Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
6 cups powdered sugar 1/4 cup milk

1. Beat together butter and shortening.

2. Add in about half of the powdered sugar.

3. Mix in vanilla extract and half the milk.

4. Add in the rest of the powdered sugar, followed by the rest of the milk.

5. Beat buttercream to desired consistency. At this point you can add more sugar or milk if too thick or thin.

6. Tint with color if desired, and frost cake or cupcakes!
