It is not sour cream based, although, the sour cream cookies taste Ah-mazing! There is baking soda in the cookie. I also used granulated sugar. The recipe I used for these cookies was a much crisp recipe. The cookies are hard, and have to be to hold up to the frosting. When I am baking for the family, and I know the cookies will get eaten fairly soon, I use a different recipe! Glad you like the site!

can u at least say whether its sour cream based or not? are there leavening agents or not? powdered sugar or granulated?if not, its cool. just curious
